Episode 65: No Tacos in Assassin's Creed 3

Hello, listeners, and welcome to the 65th episode of Disembodied Voices, the podcast that always talks about video games because why not? Stephen is the only one who doesn't feel the Need for Speed this week and clearly isn't the Most Wanted host, but he still has a couple of ridiculous stories from the explosive world of Just Cause 2. If you're still pining for more open-world shenanigans, Cameron has a pretty good story about how he killed five tigers using only a bow and Molotov cocktail thanks to Far Cry 3. On a less violent note, Nintendo Land is way better than it should be, and it is talked about with joyful wonder and wonderful joy. The Wii U itself also gets a mash-up discussion of simple reactionary thoughts and critical analysis. Oh, anda  Dishonored vs. Thief: Deadly Shadows discussion turns into a coup staged by the power-hungry Bryan. It's a crazy episode, folks. Episode 60: Baptism by Hedgehog

It's time for the weekly dose of Disembodied Voices, this time extra long and extra shouty! After a thoroughly nonsensical intro of very poor British and Scottish accents, Stephen shares with the world his quest to build a PC that can play Sonic Generations, thus fulfilling one of his life goals. It turns out that eight-year-old games also run pretty well on the new machine, so Thief: Deadly Shadows launches the entire cast into a variety of tangents including orphanage asylums and similarly scary things. In other news, Bryan and Cameron have a grand story to tell in Shogun 2, inspiring the hearts and minds of human beings around the globe, followed by a spoiler-free recount of Zachary's time with To the Moon. Disembodied Voices Episode 60 is packed with hearty nutrients and devoid of unnatural chemicals, so you can safely consume the whole thing without growing a third arm. That's the Disembodied Voices way! [audio http://dl.dropbox.com/u/98302924/Disembodied%20Voices%20-%20Episode%2060.mp3]

Episode 59: Apparently We Like Punching Things

Cameron and Zachary are back in action-- and they're agreeing with each other. Dishonored sneaked its way into their hearts, leaving Stephen and Bryan a little bit jealous as the subtleties of blinking are relished with words of joy. Resident Evil 6 receives surprisingly high marks as well, even if half the discussion is spent on stupid-headed stupid bosses, and Silent Hill: Downpour also gets a thumbs-up. Bryan recommends Darksiders until the portal gun appears, which sparked grumbling all around. Stephen, uncharacteristically and mercifully silent this time around, has nice things to say about Thief: Deadly Shadows; the fact that it takes the sting away from having no Dishonored to play doesn't hurt. Video games are talked about and talked about well, so join the podcast of champions and listen to Disembodied Voices Episode 59 today! Episode 58: Tricksy Pagans

Stephen and Bryan brave the cruel world without their loyal companions in this episode of Disembodied Voices, but they still need you, the loyal listener, to hear them talk to each other for roughly one hour. This enthralling piece of intangible entertainment tackles tough issues to bring you answers; answers to questions you probably didn't bother asking. Is the Toy Story 3 video game worth purchasing immediately? Does Rayman Origins elevate sprite-based dancing to a new art form? What makes SSX play like a fighting game? What makes 3D Dot Game Heroes play like a Zelda game? What makes Darksiders play like a Zelda game also? Why do all Pagans speak like Gollum in Thief: Deadly Shadows? By the end of these trials, you will be a better, smarter, wiser person.
