Episode 119: More Like Metal Gear Pallid

Panelist Cameron Nutter is no longer voiced by David Hayter, which wouldn't be so bad if Disembodied Voices didn't sell out and hire Tara Strong for the role of Bryan. All of these voice actor woes make the iffy changes of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes seem like the smallest of potatoes, despite the fact that it facilitates an enormous conversation rife with controversy, conspiracy, and some other enticingly alliterate word. Less infamous and yet vastly more InFamous is PS4 blockbuster InFamous: Second Son, winning over Zachary's embittered anti-Cole mindset. All of this cutting edge technology puts Stephen in the mood to play Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (BLAST PROCESSING) and makes Bryan want to play Hearthstone (because everything makes Bryan want to play Hearthstone). Crazy Taxi is also yelled about, so good on that. Opening song: Chalupa Pass, from Minimap and composed by coda.

Ending song: Mystical Groove, originally from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and ReMixed by Arceace.

Episode 104: Next Gen(erosity)

The fine, familiar, festive holiday of Thanksgiving is this very week, so the DV Cast have decided to talk with each other about video games. This is what they do every week, but this time it's a holiday. Zachary "Next Gen" Walton explains the technical feats of the PlayStation 4 and the emotional state of himself (the latter of which has been strengthened by a new season of My Little Pony). You've got Knack, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Resogun, Ustream-- the whole nine yards. The game-playing habits of Stephen and Bryan are still trapped in an all-encompassing Blizzard, but they have a hilarious and outrageous story to tell that is bound to become the biggest family feature film of 2014. (It involves Super Mario 3D World, so you know it has to be lovely.) Speaking of Nintendo games that were released on November 22nd of 2013, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds receives accolades, surpassing its divisive and smelly predecessor Skyward Sword. Lastly, a round of Thanksgiving segments set a warm, generous tone for the end of another episode, with or without sweet potatoes depending on your preference. Opening song: Funky Bits by Yoann Turpin.

Ending song: So Long and Thanks for All the..., originally from Sonic 3 & Knuckles and ReMixed by Red Tailed Fox.

Episode 103: #theDVcast #Sony #livetweetFTW

That PlayStation 4 video game console device is out on the market, but since the only DV Cast member who owns one is out sick, the others decide to talk about every other Sony product instead. It doesn't take long for Stephen to starting saying dumb statements about Crash Bandicoot the Wombat during History Time and sullying the original PlayStation's good name in the process, which turns Cameron Kratos-red with anger. Level-headed Bryan manages to stay above the Sony All-Stars Battle Royale with his commanding presence as Person Who Talks the Most, which is a fitting title during StarCraft Talk. An exciting gambit of video games can also found in this podcast, including World of Warcraft, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, which-- combined with livetweets-- should bring in the mainstream media like never before. Good times roll like heads from the God of War's wrath, so feel free to Crash the party! Opening song: Funky Bits by Yoann Turpin.

Ending song: Hogging Molly, originally from Crash Bandicoot and ReMixed by Brandon Strader and Rexy.

Episode 84: E3 2013 feat. Sonic R

That special time of year, bursting with excitement and merriment, has finally arrived once more, and it's not Christmas nor Bryan playing Scrolls. E3 is the topic this week, along with the bountiful bevy of video games shown at its many conferences and pseudo-conferences. Although the lack of Cameron means an unfortunate dearth in hyperbolic statements, the rest of the DV Cast do their best to recap all their surging emotions on the newsiest episode of Disembodied Voices you'll find all year. Zachary nearly chokes on his own derision when the concept of free-to-play Killer Instinct appears, Bryan makes a lot of super funny puns, and Stephen reveals that his favorite person in the world is Charles Martinet. Other stuff happens, too.

Episode 71: More Like Dr. Ro-TALK-nik

Zachary may be woefully AWOL this episode, but the remaining DV cast pull their own weight by talking about video games a whole bunch. Cameron and Bryan have fallen into a StarCraft II hole and can't get out as Stephen desperately tries to claw his way from a Fire Emblem: Awakening shaped crater in his life. It's not all strategy game hijinks, however: the adventures of Darksiders II (and misadventures of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword) add a dash of action and RPG to the mix. Your weekly dose of baditude can be found in Shadow the Hedgehog and DmC: Devil May Cry, neither of which feature enough silly acrobatics. As icing on the cake, the PlayStation 4 Minute delivers all the news you'll ever need about Sony's upcoming console, unless, that is, you want useful information or developed opinions. So what are you waiting for? Pop on your headphones and enjoy Disembodied Voices Episode 71 today!
