Episode 105: From Accordion Guy to Zombie Shroom

Mario is in the hearts and minds of the DV Cast this week, as are his many friends and enemies. Especially the enemies, but that comes later. You see, Stephen and Bryan have been playing oodles of Super Mario 3D World, a game tells the tail of King Koopa Meow-ser as he hatches the purr-fect plan to cat-ure Princess Peach and whisk 'er away. As for the Wii-U-less Cameron, he's been enduring the Samsara Cheese Wheel of Eternity in his arch-nemesis Dark Souls between long bouts of StarCraft Talk with baneling basher Bryan. History Time looks back on Mario memories, fond and finicky alike, before It's-a Who? takes the world by storm with its quiz-like horrors. If this podcast were a piece of scenery, it would have little cartoon eyes like in the Mushroom Kingdom. It's just that lively. Opening song: Funky Bits by Yoann Turpin.

Ending song: Slide from Super Mario 64.

Episode 23: If Bryan Bakes a Pie, Don't Eat It

The Voices are back yet again, and still Disembodied as ever! Cameron provides some spoiler-free information on Skyward Sword, Stephen reminds everyone that he enjoys Devil May Cry 4, and Bryan gains a new nickname straight from aqua vertebrate slang. The Dreamcast Game of the Month is lame this week, but a downright fascinating discussion about Skyrim's lasting impact makes up for that nicely. Another edition of Games to End All Games focuses on the Mario series, which (d)evolves into a complex debate concerning the objective and subjective greatest titles (2D and 3D counted separately, mind you) in the series. In his heart, Cameron picked Modern Warfare. Rounded out with a short but confusing list of new releases, you're left with a, quite frankly, superb podcast of joyful magic.
