Not So Secret Thanks a Lot Bryan Tactical Espionage Santa Xperience 2013/2014 Results

The gifts have been given. The games have been played. Here now stand four members of the DV Cast in the bright, fresh year of 2014 to conclude the Not So Secret Thanks a Lot Bryan Tactical Espionage Santa Xperience 2013. Stephen embarks on a decidedly Japanese RPG in Ys I, Bryan cautiously peers into the tiger-infested jungles of Far Cry 3, Cameron runs off at the speed of love to meet Sonic Generations and Sonic CD head on, and Zachary cackles with mad glee at the prospect of tearing into bottom-of-the-barrel motorcycle wreck Ride to Hell: Retribution. Will these games become beloved favorites for all of time or will they ruin Christmas forever? Both of these outcomes are profoundly unlikely! Opening/ending song: Christmas in the Village (Silver Bells), originally from Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals and remixed by Dale North.

Not So Secret Thanks a Lot Bryan Tactical Espionage Santa Xperience 2013

Welcome one and all to the second annual Espionage Santa Xperience! The DV Cast may be taking a little break from regularly schedule episodes of podcastery, but they are a generous lot and have drawn names in secret (se-cret; sēkrit; easily perceived or understood; clear, self-evident, or apparent) to spread the holiday cheer of Steam with one another. Although the results cannot be here divulged, know that each and every gift given is practically a parody of the person giving it-- maybe you can even guess what's underneath the digital wrapping paper! Tune in next week to see how each member took to his assigned slice of Christmas magic. Opening/ending song: Christmas in the Village (Silver Bells), originally from Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals and remixed by Dale North.

A Christmas Kerfuffle

As daylight fails, the glow of a thousand thousand homes takes up the torch, bringing hope, and peace, and light to that most special night of Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, the DV Cast are stranded in a ski cabin, no more than a shaken bottle of rage-flavored soda, and should the pressure become too great, just might destroy Christmas and their beloved little podcast. Scriptwriter Bryan returns to the theoretical stage in this follow up to his critically acclaimed audio drama How a Little Podcast Saved (and Nearly Ruined) Christmas, inviting you and yours to partake in this dark middle chapter of a tinsel-tailored trilogy. Please, then: dim the lights, start the fire, and listen on. Also, Disembodied Voices would like to extend a Christmas High Five to everyone!

Episode 108: Happy Hollerdays

Have you noticed that it's Christmas Eve? Everyone from the DV Cast sure has, except possibly Cameron who might still be a in a coma (citation needed). This, of course, means that it's time for a holiday episode that decks the hall like a festive interior decorator. Events from Attack of the Friday Monsters: A Tokyo Tale, Jak II, and Myst V: End of Ages are told like family stories around a warm hearth, and the potential Year of Yoshi is held in a dubious light like a funky glass of eggnog left out overnight. The yuletide spirit invades segments as well, painting a cheery picture of History Time Christmas memories with happy thoughts hung like stockings on the mantlepiece of holly-wreathed gingerbread marshmallows for toasting and caroling out in the snow and... okay, you know what? This was a pretty lame episode. Although Zachary admirably filled in for Cameron during StarCraft Talk, Stephen and Bryan were a couple of uninspired boring faces. Make up your own minds as to the merits of this podcast, dear listeners, but you should really listen to this year's audio drama Christmas Special instead: A Christmas Kerfuffle. It's magic! Opening song: Funky Bits by Yoann Turpin.

Ending song: Christmas in the Village (Silver Bells), originally from Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals and ReMixed by Dale North.

The presents have been figuratively wrapped with care, awaiting this very day-- Christmas-- to be opened. Join in the jolly festivities to discover the secret treasures that lie within, and tune in next week to hear the results! Opening/ending song: Christmas in the Village (Silver Bells), originally from Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals and remixed by Dale North.

Sonic Christmas Blast

Christmas cheer surrounds the world and binds it together like it's the Force or something, and that can only mean one thing: another Disembodied Voices Christmas Special! This time Stephen's gone mad with a burning anger about the state of modern Sonic games, and only the magic of Christmas (and ghosts wielding the magic of Christmas) can pull him from the brink of sadness come a holiday season with no blue hedgehog to find under the tree. Make sure your mug of hot cocoa is close at hand, because you'll need every drop of sustenance as you journey through the dreams of an obsessed Sonic the Hedgehog fan. There's probably a moral somewhere deep inside this heartfelt rendition of Sonic Christmas Blast, so give a shout if you can figure out what it is in between your tears of joy and sadness. The DV Cast wish you and pretty much everyone else the merriest of Christmases!

Episode 25: It's Christmastime... With Eagle Watch Missions!

Christmastime is upon Disembodied Voices, and Disembodied Voices is now upon you! Holiday cheer floats through the air like snowflakes of joy; meanwhile, Stephen, Bryan, and Zachary talk about video games. Portal 2 is a topic of controversy today and the Riddler's intellect was called into question, but the room is brightened with talk of Sonic CD and a bevy of GBA games. Christmases of the past are remembered while this coming December 25th is surveyed greedily by Stephen. Speaking of greed, Food Time makes a special appearance, during which Zachary tells you about a magical soda that can only be harvested during Christmastime. There is jolliness, there is happiness, and there is more jolliness in Disembodied Voices Episode 25, so download it for yourself today!
